To Our Valued Customers

12-3-20

With Rhode Island imposing a 14 day “Pause” all COVID safety protocols must be followed by our customers and delivery personnel to slow the alarming uptick in cases.

Safety protocols include:

  • Delivery personnel will not enter any account that exceeds current capacity limits.
  • Proper face coverings must be worn by all account personnel and delivery personnel.
  • The store must restrict all access to any delivery area.
  • If delivering into a self-serve cooler, no public access is allowed in the store.
  • If delivering through the front door, no customer access is allowed in the store.
  • Restaurants/Bars: Ground floor deliveries unless all account personnel (and public) is restricted from where delivery is to be made. Deliveries to basement areas only if there is no person to person contact.
  • In lieu of a signature on the invoice after the order has been checked for accuracy, our delivery personnel will ask for the receiver’s last name, enter the name onto the iPad as the signature and leave a paper copy.

If there are any questions about our delivery personnel’s safely making a delivery, they have been instructed to call their supervisor for direction.

We sincerely appreciate your patience, professionalism and flexibility in fulfilling this plan together. We are all looking forward to a time when these measures are no longer necessary. By working together we can ensure business continuity while addressing health and safety concerns for your team and ours.

We will communicate any additional changes as they arise.

Thank you for your understanding and stay safe.

M&M is closely monitoring the fluid COVID-19 situation. As we enter Phase III of Reopening RI, we are modifying some of the restrictions previously set in place based on recommendations from the State, RI Dept. of Health, CDC, and other agencies that were necessary to slow the spread of the virus. Effective July 6th, we will be returning to pre COVID-19 delivery procedures, while keeping with the ongoing direction of practicing social distancing and wearing face coverings. In order to take this very important step, we are requesting the measures below be adhered to:

  • Account personnel must practice social distancing while our team is delivering
  • Restrict customer access to delivery areas while our team is delivering
  • Our delivery team will not enter an account that exceeds current capacity limits
  • If there are any questions about safely making the delivery, our delivery drivers will call their supervisor for direction
  • To limit contact, we will continue to not require a signature on the invoice after the order has been checked for accuracy. Our delivery team will ask for the receiver’s last name, enter the name onto the iPad as the signature and leave a paper copy

The M& M delivery team will place product in the receiving area, backroom or loading dock of each account. We want to follow the guidelines of "social distancing" and reduce person to person interaction. The M&M delivery team has been instructed to not enter the other areas of the store with product. These measures are in the best interest of our employees, your store personnel and Rhode Island customers.

These are difficult measures being instituted, but they are to ensure business continuity while addressing safety concerns for the Rhode Island community.

We will communicate any additional changes as they arise.

Thank you for your understanding, your McLaughlin & Moran team.
